Japan

Nagasaki

The Portuguese arrived in Nagasaki in 1543, helped to settle the dispute between China and Japan, and placed themselves as an intermediary in the trade between the two countries. Missionaries arrived and began to evangelise the Japanese. Needless to say, the Dutch came on the Portuguese heals.

I am assuming that there was New Christian trade with Nagasaki, but don’t have details. With respect to trade, Nagasaki was the end of the line, It was a substantial journey to get there from Lisbon.
